I am looking to clean my Equate V2 Plus, and I got pretty scared to lose the rough surface and make it softer (slower), so I thought there should a specific way (that I don’t know about) to clean it, please let me know if there’s a special way that I could use to avoid damaging the mousepad.
The way to reduce damage is by not being clean. It is normal for the speed to be slightly affected after prolonged use and cleaning. Below is the cleaning method.
If dust: Just flap the pad vertically softly to remove particles of the pad and get like a wet wipe or something and go over it.
If the drink spills on the mat： a, washed, add some neutral cleaning solution.
b. Thoroughly remove the cleaning solution with clean water.
c, air dry (do not dry under the sun).
This kind of cleaning can only ensure that the things that affect the mouse movement on the surface are removed. But some stubborn colors are not guaranteed to be removed. Just like getting dirty on the white clothes.
