Before you read, please take to consider that my mouse pad is a custom printed Aqua speed on which surface I was told had a coating for better performance and I don’t want to wear it off
I have posted a similar question about the topic of how to clean the mouse pad safely from the post “How can I clean my mousepad without damaging the coating surface such as the aqua speed?” but I never actually receive a conclusive answer, but yesterday I accidentally drop a ballpoint pen on the pad and it left a stain, I tried cleaning it up with hand soap, toothpaste and hand sanitizer. It took most of the ink off but there are still some deeper stains that my solutions cant get to. What do you suggest I should get and do to entirely clean the stains off?
Hello, our cleaning process is
If dust: Just flap the pad vertically softly to remove particles of the pad and get like a wet wipe or something and go over it.
If the drink spills on the mat： a, washed, add some neutral cleaning solution.
b. Thoroughly remove the cleaning solution with clean water.
c, air dry (do not dry under the sun).
This kind of cleaning can only ensure that the things that affect the mouse movement on the surface are removed. But some stubborn colors are not guaranteed to be removed. Just like getting dirty on the white clothes.
So I might have found a solution to clean this type of gel ink from most pens. I used alcohol base cologne because of it’s fast evaporation and it non-corrosive property. You should prepare a clean soft towel to wipe the stain immediately after a direct spray onto the stain as it will dissolve the ink and loosen it from the surface. This has work for me personally and I want to share it to anyone who are having the same problem as I did BUT BE WARN THAT THIS IS NOT A TESTED AND PROVEN WAY OF CLEANING THEsE MOUSEPAD!
