Description

It’s a Giant Plastic Hard Gaming Mouse Pad. Giant size 450mm x 400mm, it’s the largest hard gaming mouse pad with polycarbonate core.

Thunder x is designed for increased mouse control, stability and precision. The reflective surface of this mouse pad enables super fast tracking for both laser and optical mice, and provides just the right amount of friction to deliver great glide while maintaining control. The polycarbonate core makes the pad extremely durable, and the non-slip rubber base keeps the pad firmly in place.

  1. Not the same from years ago..

The honeycomb hard plastic mold is no longer used. The backing to the great surface is now rubbery not rigid.

Look elsewhere for rigid mouse pads!

  2. Amazing pad

Alright, so this is my first ever hard pad and I really love the speed on this thing. If you’re not a hard pad user already, it will mess with your aim because it has very little static friction. This actually felt so liberating coming from cloth pad. My current main mice are G102 with tiger arc 1s and GPX with Tiger ICE. G102 is REALLY smooth on this thing, but GPX feels super scratchy and even louder with both the stock feet and Tiger ICE. It could be that its feet require some breaking in, but I don’t think I’m ready to do that on this mouse.

About the cons: If you have even the smallest piece of grime or dust under your mouse feet, it will RUIN your glide. I live in a fairly dusty area, and I’m able to use it by wiping it down with a cloth time to time. But I think that’s common for all hard pads. For mouse feet, I haven’t used it enough to have an answer, but all hard pads wear down mouse feet at a faster rate. On the plus side, they don’t wear down themselves, so you can replace the mouse feet time to time instead. 😀

For durability, I cannot be sure but I asked a guy before purchasing it and he said that the glide is the same even after more than a year. I’m really not sure how this pad isn’t as popular as skypad, when it is so fast and so affordable.

Here is a glide video of this mouse pad with my GPX with Tiger ICE.

I’ve had the Thunder 8 mouse pad for about 15 years and is amazing. Finally wearing down as much gaming as it seen for all them years. It was hard to find this pad online for some time now but I found it again. Buying a new one today to last another 15 or so years. Best pad you can get. Love that it’s a hard surface.

    The perfect mousepad

    nick shanafelt

This mousepad is absolutely perfect. The size alone makes this a winner it is xl In size so it is biiiiig. It’s a hardpad which I went away from because no one made a xl hard pad until I stumbled on this. All I can say is I wish I knew about this sooner. I have had hard pads and cloth pads of various sizes and textures, fUnc hard pad, steel pad s&s, Razer destructor 2, zowie gsr se, qck heavy….you get the point. Feel reminds me of a func pad and steel pad s&s, which is not a negative it is rough in texture which is perfect for controlling you aim movements and paired with the proper mouse skates this is the best combo money can buy. Hard pads last longer than cloth and are way easier to clean. If you are someone who uses low sensitivity in game and require sweeping movements this mouse pad is perfect. If you use a high sensitivity in game and require small quick wrist movements this mouse pad is perfect, I have a Razer viper ultimate and can confirm the tracking on this mousepad is amazing. There is no drag like there is with a cloth mousepad when you initially start your hand movement which takes a little getting used to but once you do it’s game over the movements are effortless and crisp. Thank you X-ray for providing gamers with products like this!!!
