Equate XL vs XXL Extended

Hello, 
I just received my Equate XXL Extended, and I noticed that the texture on the extended version of the mousepad is a lot smoother than it is on the XL version. Did X-Raypad change the texture of the Equate recently? Is the XXL Extended version of the Equate supposed to have a smoother texture? 
I prefer the rougher texture of the Equate XL, as it seems to have more stopping power. The Equate XXL Extended feels way too fast for me.

Hi, This should be the reason for the deviation of the fabric. Because the fabrics of different production batches will have certain deviations.
